As a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, you will be an essential part of the Cloud Infrastructure & Operations team; a highly recognized group within the Data & Analytics division that plays a direct role in Big Data, Machine Learning and Analytics technologies by designing, building and supporting Analytics infrastructure, and middleware technologies on Cloud platforms.
**What will you do?**
- Understand and work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Platform as a Service (Paas), Software as a Service (SaaS), and EDL administration and related technologies.
- Evaluate functions and features of cloud services and related technologies.
- Involvement with small and medium size infrastructure projects, and participate in projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, and define, manage and track project deliverables using defined technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures for all supported cloud-related platforms, and define requirements in cooperation with Developers and other Specialists.
- Develop scripts and functions to support internal processes and improve system performance.
- Define, document and implement consistent standards and procedures
- Share the responsibility of 7X24 rotational on-call duties, after hour change support and disaster recovery support
**What you need to succeed?**
- High academic credentials and University level degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science or a related field.
- Knowledge and experience in Information Technology with high academic credentials in a related field.
- Understand, can describe and can put into action complex concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for data and analytics as a career.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and learn independently.
**Unique Requirements**
- Ability to receive Security clearance is required for this role [minimum of 5 consecutive years of residency in Canada].
**What will be nice to have?**
- Proficiency with Linux.
- Familiarity and/or experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment.
- Knowledge of Web development, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) and Report development.
- Scripting languages (Linux Bash, Microsoft Powershell, etc.).
- Enterprise Data Lake Services, EMR, Glue, Athena, IAM, Ranger, Starburst Trino, AWS EKS, SageMaker, SageMaker Studio, RStudio
- Knowledge of database concepts such as data mapping, logical and physical data modeling.
- Experience giving presentations to a wide variety of audiences including stakeholders, clients, etc.
