**Maintenance Supervisor / Handyperson - Regular Full-Time**

**Position Summary**:
The Royal Ottawa Golf Club has been a leader in Canadian Golf since its inception in 1891. The Club has a storied past and stands apart due to the long history of dedicated employees who have held the Clubhouse and the Course to the highest standards.

Our Club features a magnificent 3600 square foot Tudor Clubhouse where dignitaries and esteemed guests have dined, carefully manicured grounds, a Championship Golf Course, a nine-hole course, and a state-of-the-art range and practice facility.

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Operations Team. This position will manage a team of up to 10 employees and act as a key resource in special projects and general upkeep tasks around the Clubhouse.

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role between the Clubhouse Manager and the Maintenance team to ensure that the operational standards of The Royal Ottawa Golf Club are met.

The position requires a strong work ethic, professionalism, and is ideal for an established handyperson looking to make an impact with a renowned organization. Bilingualism, good communication, and organizational skills are essential for this position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, and reviewing in all tasks related to facility maintenance.
- Delegating and assisting maintenance staff to complete room setups as per function sheets.
- Hiring and supervising tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Responsibly handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance in conjunction with the Clubhouse Manager.
- Maintaining preventive maintenance standards and scheduling upkeep for the Club’s facilities and equipment.
- Assisting in the development of maintenance policies and standards for the Club.
- Monitoring inventory of materials and equipment.
- Routinely inspecting various elements of buildings and grounds, like elevators, fire alarms, etc.
- Regularly conducting minor repairs in basic carpentry, drywall, furniture, painting etc.
- Extra duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of general trades experience (basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, etc.), or 3+ years of maintenance experience.
- French-English bilingualism is required.
- Experience supervising, coordinating and scheduling Maintenance staff.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and maintenance.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problem, often-times preventing them.
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities according to Club functions.
- Completion of trade certificate would be an asset.
- Valid WHMIS certificate.
