Buyer/pricing Analyst

POSITION TITLE**:BUYER/PRICING ANALYST**

REPORTS TO: Purchasing Manager

WORK SCHEDULE: Regular, Full-Time, Days

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer/Pricing Analyst will support the Purchasing Team to achieve established targets. The Buyer/Pricing Analyst will review the company’s buying practices and, over time, modify and adjust the safety stock levels and purchasing processes. The Buyer/Pricing Analyst will also support the sales force in pricing deals and offering discounts within published limits.

**POSITION OBJECTIVES**:
BUYER
- Reviewing Syspro ERP on a daily basis and create purchase orders to meet production and operation requirements;
- Following-up on all purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery;
- Expediting the sourcing of new or replacement parts when shortages are imminent;
- Proactively communicating with suppliers and providing updates to internal departments;
- Forecasting future part requirements;
- Determining the optimal safety stock levels and ensuring necessary levels are consistently met;
- Monitoring inventory levels;
- Collaborating with Warehouse and Production staff to manage inventory and supply demands;
- Investigating supply issues and arranging deliveries for last minute changes or substitutions, including urgent requirements needed for order completion;
- Providing updates to internal departments;
PRICING ANALYST
- Manage the daily flow for discount and pricing requests;
- Be highly responsive to the sales force in order to support their efforts to win business;
- Grant additional discounts within authorized levels;
- Seek guidance and approval for additional discounts from senior management; and
- Other duties as required.

**REQUIRED SKILLSET**:

- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills;
- Must have strong professional business communication skills;
- Must demonstrate a high level of competency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.); and
- Must be capable of delivering results and positively impacting the company’s financials.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a business-related discipline from a recognized college/university institution;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a purchasing function;
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, ideally in a manufacturing environment; and
- Direct supplier and commodity management experience for a number of commodities/suppliers.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
