**About the Job**:
Reporting to the Program Manager, Aoki Ross House, the Support Worker is responsible for providing support to those accessing the Temporary Winter Shelter program; they complete intake, monitor the program’s participants, provide dinner and breakfast & set-up for sleeping mats and linens for people and removes items at the end of shift, performs light janitorial duties such as garbage removal, cleaning shower and bathroom, laundry assistance, changing linens, sweeping/mopping floors, respond to emergencies, enter data/Stats and provide resources and advocacy.
This role expects staff to be available at short notice during the wet and cold months. The position entails supporting trans, gender diverse and two spirit people seeking shelter from the cold and applicants must be available for overnight shifts during winter.

**Additional Requisites/Assets**:

- You must have a legal authorization to work in Canada.
- A valid First Aid Certificate is required.
- A Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is required
- A WHMIS Certificate is required
