**THE ROLE**

The Store Accounting Manager provides support to RDO’s, Market Managers, Store Managers, and Store Accounting team regarding daily store information, audits, and any other accounting aspects of the stores. This position manages Store Accounting Supervisor. The Store Accounting Manager supports the company goals by focusing on personal accountability, customer service, and work efficiency.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**

**Leadership and Management**
- Ensure Store Accounting teams meet deadlines and complete their assigned tasks with high quality
- Manage team in all aspects of their job
- Ensure resolution of issues or opportunities identified by operations, other departments within the organization, and store accounting teams with a high level of customer service
- Work closely with Global Process Owner and various GCN teams for store accounting to ensure continuous improvement and support of emerging initiatives
- Establish and maintain relationships with GCN teams, global process owners and other internal departments to identify strategies and processes that could be leveraged and successfully applied to the store accounting organization

**Communication**
- Communicate reporting errors to RDO, Market Manager and Office Personnel in accordance with Global Shared Services Communication Policy
- Ensure open and timely communication with other departments in GCN
- Ensure communication, documentation, and training for analyst when new policy, procedural or system changes are introduced to store accounting
- Financial analyses and controls
- Analyze sales and margin information by category
- Analyze excessive cash and inventory variances
- Analyze audit results to ensure accuracy
- Approve balance sheet reconciliations done by the onshore and offshore teams

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce

**Experience**:

- 5 years of experience and accounting
- Experience in staff management

**Knowledge and skills**:

- Initiative to determine and implement process improvements.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required.
- Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze financial information and work with large data files.
- Experience with ReconNet and PDI Software preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel necessary and proficiency with Access a plus.

**Language skills**:

- Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
