about the team
At lululemon, our Health and Safety Technician play a key role in supporting our vision of elevating the world through the power of practice. The health and safety technician are a distribution center employee with a dotted line reporting relationship to the People Safety Department. This role will interact with all leads, managers, and associates in the distribution center.

**a day in the life**:

- The lululemon health and safety technician with direction from the DC health and safety specialist supports the Distribution Center (DC) health and safety program to protect employees and facilities from occupational hazards. This role is a very people facing and on a contract term.
- Responsible for coordinating health and safety entry screening procedures.
- Support with health and safety hygiene practices in the distribution center.
- Support with monitoring and reporting on COVID-19 prevention measures.
- Conduct weekly real-time observations (RTO) in departments based on incident frequency, post incident, or routine cadence.
- Conduct lululemon orientation health and safety training for new hires.
- Inspect and maintain all safety supplies and equipment to include first aid kits, emergency communication devices, signs, fire extinguishers, PPE and warning devices associated with emergencies.
- Conduct TDR weekly audits
- Follow up with PIT Incidents

**qualifications**:

- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift
- General knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations relating to distribution center.
- First Aid CPR, and AED training
- Ability to demonstrate a history of safe work practice.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrate agility, reliability, problem solving and customer service for new hires
- Ability to communicate efficiently cross functionally.
