Salon Assistant

**About the Role**:
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive **Salon Assistant** to join our team This role is perfect for someone passionate about the beauty industry, eager to learn, and ready to support stylists and the salon owner in delivering top-tier client experiences. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience in a professional salon environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist stylists and the owner with preparing clients for services, including washing and drying hair
- Keep workstations clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the day
- Ensure a seamless salon workflow by anticipating needs and staying proactive
- Support stylists by gathering tools and materials, assisting during services, and maintaining an efficient workspace
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere and positive experience for clients
- Assist in the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the salon
- Stay engaged in learning and absorbing industry knowledge

**What we're Looking For**:

- Recently completed or close to completing hair school
- Strong passion for hair and the beauty industry
- Eager to learn and grow in a professional salon setting
- Ability to anticipate needs and proactively support salon operations
- Takes pride in personal presentation and professionalism
- Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
- Keen attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Open to constructive criticism and committed to skill development
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- Customer service experience is an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
