Don't miss this chance to join our Bridges team We are presently seeking experienced, strongly knowledgeable with effective communication skills Supervisors to work within Alberta. The incumbent will get the opportunity to work with a young, growing team in a very busy market. The work schedule is 10 days on and 4 days off (If in remote locations) and 6 days on and 1 day off (If near Edmonton and surrounding areas).

**What is the role?**

Reporting to the Bridges Superintendent, this position will oversee the day-to-day operations on a project site and perform supervisory duties, including coordinating and overseeing overall project operations including equipment and materials required to complete a project on time and within budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working with the Superintendent and work crew, plans, organizes and checks work required to meet or exceed the expectations and standards, within or below costs and timelines outlined in contracts/agreements.
- Working with the Project Manager, plans and manages the implementation of contracts to meet or exceed the expectations and specifications/standards set, within or below costs and time lines.
- Supervise and manage the performance of the carpenters, labourers and/or contract staff.
- Manages equipment and work site, ensuring they are maintained and kept operational.
- Implements health, safety and environmental procedures on site in accordance with legislation and company policy to ensure the safety of all workers and protection of the public.
- Works closely with team members and decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effect project delivery.
- Monitors the project to ensure all work is being completed correctly, on time and within budget.
- Promotes teamwork and morale.

**What do we value?**
- Minimum 3-5 years **“hands on” experience in bridges related construction and maintenance** with related experiences in a supervisory position.
- Journeyman Carpenter Ticket preferred.
- Concrete and Form-work Experience.
- Working knowledge of Alberta Transportation bridge specifications.
- Ability to read blue prints and drawings.
- Ability to direct and organize employees and sub-contractors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
