**The Role**:
The **BIM Coordinator** supports the organization’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, technology, and implementation at the project level. The goal is to deliver safe, innovative, and cost-efficient MEP layout solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.

**Key Technical Skills & Competencies**:
An understanding of MEP systems, including:

- Equipment hook-ups
- Piping systems with supports and inline specialties
- Ductwork systems with supports and components
- Electrical systems, including duct banks, main feeders, and cable trays
- Proficiency in BIM authoring tools for modeling, technical support, and mentoring.
- Building structures and accurate modeling within BIM environments.
- Ability to prepare and follow BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and workflows.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage MEP models for pre-construction, construction, fabrication, onsite layout, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate pre-construction models with construction and fabrication models to ensure accuracy and compliance with BEPs.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve design and model changes.
- Produce clash detection reports and ensure spatial coordination of models.
- Generate precise construction and fabrication drawings.
- Manage BIM project data sets, workflows, and implementation while maintaining project-specific documentation.
- Prepare and manage BIM execution plans, ensuring all changes to procedures and standards are communicated effectively.
- Oversee linked models and cross-discipline coordination.
- Administer and maintain daily model management tasks.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Stay updated on government standards and ensure their execution during pre-construction and construction phases.
- Manage software licenses, installations, and updates.
- Research and recommend BIM best practices, software, and related technologies to improve processes and efficiency.
- Lead internal training sessions and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Develop model content for company shop fabrication catalogs and finalize equipment buy-outs.
- Attend industry training, seminars, and workshops, sharing insights with the organization.
