Port Alberni, Canada Harbourview Dental Full time

$30 per hour, Extended Medical and Dental Benefits, $5,000 signing bonus with one-year

**Compensation**:
$30 hourly

**Responsibilities**:

- Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during appointment
- Equip and prepare treatment rooms for examination and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials
- Ensure dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
- Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
- Answer any questions the patient may have about dental hygiene, schedule appointments for patient care follow up, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control after procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Certification or Associate’s Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred
- 1 year of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant
