Supreme Steel is currently looking for safety conscious and highly efficient individuals to fill the

position of Industrial Sandblaster at our fabrication facility in Saskatoon, SK. These are full-time

unionized positions for day and night shifts. The Sandblaster is responsible for operating abrasive

blasting equipment to smooth out the surface, remove paint, rust, and other materials from large

structure steel pieces, as well as the set up, and moving of these materials.

The Sandblaster is responsible for a wide range of responsibilities that include:

- Perform sandblasting operations on structural steel
- Assess work area to ensure the safety of workers and property
- Prepare surfaces before and after blasting projects by removing debris and dust
- Inspect blasting operations, ensuring they are performed in accordance with Safety regulations
- Clean tools and equipment to prevent clogging or other problems that could result in injury or

damage to equipment
- Preparing blasting equipment for use by checking fluid levels and replacing worn parts
- Work in a team environment to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies

precautions and possess a strong attention to detail in. We are looking for an energetic individual that

has 3 to 5 years of sandblasting experience on structural steel, bridges, vessels, heavy equipment

and/or modules. Experience/training in operating overhead cranes and Forklifts and/or skid steers is

considered an asset.

Supreme Steel offers a competitive wage and benefit package as per the collective agreement,

including yearly safety boot and glasses allowances, two extra paid statutory holidays each year and

nights shift premium of $3.00/hr. Additional benefits include medical, dental, life and disability

insurance benefits after 3 month. After one year of service a company sponsored self-directed RRSP

program.

All employees must adhere to proper safety procedures and policies while working in a culture of care.

Positions working in labour intensive or safety-sensitive environments will be required to pass preemployment

license and reliable transportation.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in construction painting
- Proficiency in drywall, restoration, and residential painting
- Ability to read blueprints and follow schematics
- Familiarity with rigging, hand tools, and carpentry
- Strong customer service skills
- Prior experience in commercial painting and caulking
- Excellent time management abilities
- Valid driver's license and crane operation certification

Pay: $22.30-$28.52 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
