We are looking for someone to help manage all of our bookings and our part-time seasonal staff.
Dang Good Booths is a rapidly growing company that creates photo experiences to help planners, producers and marketers create better engagement and connection at events.
We are growing an incredible team, a fun culture, and we work from beautiful Vancouver, BC. Our aim is to become Vancouver’s #1 photo booth choice - to support this, Dang Good Booths needs a hard-working, detail-oriented individual to oversee the distribution and quality control of our events.
This position will work 4 days in the office, some evenings and every other weekend at events.

**What we need**:
Your mission as our Events Manager will consist of being the first point of contact with clients and vendors and ensure that all information is properly documented and relayed to our team of hosts. You will play a key role in helping our photobooth hosts succeed with their photo booths and execution of their events and ensuring happy clients.
Experience with events or weddings is a must
A keen eye for modern clean design would be an asset in maintaining our high standards for aesthetics.
Our company can manage upwards of 300 events per season and the ability to maintain all the information in the file up to date is paramount.
- Manage 300-350 events per year
- Reduce incoming help/issue count by 5% month over month
- Help reach companies sales goals
**When you’d work**:
- Office Hours: Tuesday-Friday 11AM-6PM and some evenings and every other weekend at events (including but limited to PR events, marketing events, wedding shows etc. (Note: hours may vary, some remote work may be available)
- The schedule for the Events Manager is largely determined by event dates.
**What you’d do**:
- Manage the event client database (corporate/wedding) on Pixifi.
- Respond to client inquiries, prepare and deliver quotes and proposals and manage communications between clients and Dang Good Booths.
- Identify the needs of wedding/corporate clients and provide proposals based on their needs
- Work with the team to create and execute marketing material for print and social media
- Communicate directly with clients and answer all inquiries within 3 hours of receiving them (during business hours).
- Follow up with clients in order to close bookings with them.
- Coordinate template draft completion by notifying the team designer or any other assigned person that a template is required to be completed.
- Coordinate backdrop and prop selection
- Monitor and manage invoices on Quickbooks.
- Monitor, manage and improve the efficiencies of business operations.
- Schedule, direct and assign support staff and hosts.
- Serve as the direct contact for our clients/vendors
- Ensuring Photo Booths are prepped and ready for delivery on time to the correct locations
- Organizing and keeping inventory of all physical photo booth equipment, backup equipment and all event-related equipment
- Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure best deals and maintenance related to apps
- Overall photo quality control - adhering to the highest standards of precision and quality as a reflection of Dang Good Booth’s brand and commitment to “dang good” service
- Attend, execute and manage events as needed.
- People management and leadership skills required
**What you have**:
**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- An aptitude for hands-on work
- The intense attention to detail
- Modern clean mínimalist design aesthetic
- Must be technically inclined (computer savvy)
- Event management experience
- Photography knowledge (not required - but willing to get training)
- Knowledge of Lightroom and Photoshop (not required)
- Must have a strong work ethic with a positive can-do attitude, and be unafraid in the face of new challenges, tight timelines, or curveballs
- Available during office hours with flexibility to attend or monitor events in the evening and weekends as required
- Experience using any client management software (bonus points if it's Pixifi)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sales background would be ideal
- Experience leading and motivating a team
- Ability to manage schedules
- Windows 10 knowledge
- Experience and familiarity with Apple iOS and MacOS products
- Knowledge of using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Dropbox, Gmail, Google Calendar, etc...
- Valid BC Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Available to work evenings and weekends
**Salary**:$40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
