**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight and materials to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or maintenance as required to keep vehicles in optimal condition.

**Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driving license with Manual transmission
- Experience in freight transportation or logistics is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs is an advantage.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Manual transmission: 1 year (required)
- Driving: 1 year (required)
- Flatbed curtain side: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (required)
- Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: On the road

Expected start date: 2024-11-10
