**Position Title: Supply Chain / Quality Assurance Associate**

**Position Classification: Permanent /Full Time**

**Responsibilities**
- Execute incoming inspections for parts and raw material, according to engineering specifications and standards.
- Inspect outbound products according to standards or procedures.
- Document results of inspection in the respective IT systems, if required.
- Perform daily checks on production lines.
- Inspect, test, and report in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement inspections, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
- Develop a quality continuous improvement plan with direction of Nasarc stakeholders.
- Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure nonconforming products are quarantined accordingly.
- Train production team members on quality standards and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze quality data to identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Draft procedures, work instructions, forms, and other documents when necessary.
- Ensure non-conforming parts are labeled and quarantined in a designated area for further investigation.
- Develop quality assurance projects.
- Maintain proof of inspection on product, materials, work-in-process items, and equipment via technical documentation.
- Filing, preserving, disposing of various quality records.
- Interact with customers and suppliers as required to carry out requirements and expectations.
- Participate in customer and internal corrective and preventive actions.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum 2 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and a minimum of 1-year experience in quality inspection/testing
- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings, familiarity with SolidWorks CAD software an asset
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 systems and ISO-9001 Quality Systems methods, APQP, Statistical methods, control plans and PPAP’s.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Good written and oral communication skills, ability to clearly convey concepts and present results to others

The location is in Waterloo and the hours of work are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
