**THE ROLE**- Support the school’s community outreach & local market development efforts through the development of relationships with feeder schools and community organizations- Work with the Director, Admissions to implement the school’s day student recruitment and admissions strategies including the school’s goals for diversity and inclusivity
- Interview, assess and make recommendations on the admissibility of students with a primary focus on day applicants
- Be the first point of contact for Centennial Scholars program Admissions
- Prepare profiles of all incoming Middle School students and distribute them to the Middle School Directors, Guidance and Advancement
- As required meet with the internal stakeholders to review and address any questions
- Follow-up with new students and families to ensure a smooth transition to the school by working directly with school directors and orientation leaders
- Liaise and develop relationships with any relevant professionals locally (real estate agents, human resource managers, relocation agents, clubs & coaches)
- Coordinate all aspects of the SSAT testing, registration and storage and ensure results are securely sent to the SSATB and tracked in admissions files
- Liaise and communicate with school Directors, House Directors, and Guidance for student retention and tracking purposes and to ensure proper direction and communication to families pertaining to retention issues
- Travel locally to recruit and meet potential students, families as well as meeting with current parents, alumni, agents and others as required
**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Post-secondary education required or related experience
- Previous experience in Admissions or in a related field
- Excellent customer service, people skills and relationship building skills
- Multi-tasking, great attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Strong initiative, follow-up & tracking skills
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and within a team environment
- Excellent writing & communication skills
- Organization, flexibility, and energy, with the ability to prioritize a complex and dynamic set of activities
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite (including Outlook)
