Are you passionate about news? Feeling boxed in by traditional storytelling styles? Want to help build the next generation of news gathering teams? CityNews has an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Full-Time Production Manager to lead our CityNews Regional team based in Vancouver.
**What you will do**:

- Coordinate the best content from all Rogers Sports and Media brands, on all platforms. Flag the best content from Sportsnet, OMNI, Rogers and CityNews and communicates it to the rest of the team.
- Provide editorial leadership for CityNews regional team. Support Supervising Producers with line-ups and vet scripts on broadcast and digital.
- Manage the production team in our Vancouver production hub. Coach and develop content producers.
- Take a leadership role in key national productions and breaking news stories.
- Be a sounding board for Supervising Producers and VJ’s, providing feedback and support.
- Champion collaboration and help strengthen the culture of inclusion with the News & Information team and throughout Rogers Sports & Media.
**What you will bring**:

- This is a leadership position. You must have experience managing a newsroom and people.
- You have an eye for great content and know what works for digital, radio and broadcast.
- You have experience in leading major national productions.
- You are willing to explore new ideas and approaches to content and production.
- You know how to communicate effectively, especially in pressure situations.
- You know how to drive teamwork and know how to influence people without authority.
- Because our production hub is based in Vancouver, you should be based in Vancouver.
