Part Time Public Works Position

**Primary Duties**

The purpose of this position is to assist the public works department in all aspects of maintaining municipal property and roadways.

Duties to include but are not limited to the following:

- Operation and maintenance of the municipal landfill site two days a week
- Supervision of summer students (July-August)
- Lawn maintenance and vegetation management of all municipal properties, including planting and maintenance of flower gardens
- Building maintenance of all municipal properties
- Snow removal around entrances to municipal buildings and all municipal parking areas, as well clearing fire hydrants
- Roadway maintenance (hardtop patching, litter pickup, etc.)

A DZ licence would be considered an asset although it is not a job requirement.

All prospective employees are required to obtain and submit a satisfactory Criminal Record Search and driver’s abstract as a condition of employment prior to their start date.

The pay grid for this position is between $22.00 to $25.75 per hour and will be based on the successful applicant’s experience.

The successful applicant will have the option of joining the OMERS pension plan.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.75 per hour
