This position is responsible for providing support and assistance to the CAO Clerk-Treasurer to achieve specific organizational goals.

**Primary Duties**
- Research policies and by-laws as required by the Clerk;
- Assist in preparing reports, notices, and developing new procedures and solutions to promote efficiency;
- Assist with the coordination of a variety of projects related to municipal and community events, including uploading news and notices to the website;
- Assist in processing requests pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act;
- Prepare receipts for tax and water payments;
- Manage and update the By-law Listing, and assist with records retention management;
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

**Education, Knowledge, Abilities and Skills**
- Strong communication and written skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion;
- Willingness to obtain additional training as required;
- Post-secondary diploma in Public or Business Administration, or relevant work experience would be considered an asset.

**Requirements**:

- Have not previously participated in a NOHFC funded internship;
- Are at least 18 years of age and reside in the region (this position requires 100% on-site placement);
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, are unemployed or are underemployed who are entering a new field
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Search prior to their start date
