**Part-time Early Learner Teaching Assistant** Kumon West Shore - Langford

Kumon is the world's largest after-school learning program, with 3.5 million enrolments worldwide. It is an individualized study method that enables students to become self-learners.

We are currently seeking a part-time Early Learner Teaching Assistant at our Langford centre. This position is a great opportunity if you are considering a career in teaching or childcare or have previous experience in these fields.

Applicants must be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:30p.m.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong oral reading skills
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some university education is preferred
- Mature and detailed oriented
- Enjoy working with K to 5
- Team player

Specific Responsibilities
- familiarize earlier learners and new students with the centre routine
- learn the Kumon method and guide students to develop work skills
- sit with early learners to help them acquire basic math and reading skills such as phonics, counting and pencil skills
- grade and record students’ work
- prepare students' work-assignment folders

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
