Nature of work:
- Specifically, the computer technician will provide support for the Microsoft 365 infrastructure, Active Directory, VMWare Horizon and related systems. The technician will also aid in the support of the backups of the College’s data and servers. As a member of the support team, they may also be assigned support calls on the aforementioned systems.**Responsibilities**:
- Create and maintain Office 365 licenses
- Operate server and data backups
- Assist in the management of users and group policies in Active Directory
- Assist in the management and operation of the virtual infrastructure
- Contribute to Wiki pages for documentation of systems setup and configuration
- Participate in the overall microcomputer support of the Dawson community via the computer helpdesk
- Keep abreast of developments in their area of expertise
- Perform other related duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Qualifications:
- To have a diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
- Conditions:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory
- Knowledge of VmWare Horizon
- Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems
- Knowledge of the following a plus: Veeam, Verdiem, Ansible, MySQL
- Advanced oral and written English communication skills (testing may be required)
- Basic oral and written French communication skills (testing may be required)
