Hamilton Machining & Fabricating Ltd is a busy, family owned and operated general machining and fabricating shop located in Burnaby, BC. With a history that spans over 50 years, we provide high quality solutions that meet the design and manufacturing needs for our customers throughout a variety of industries. Our level of expertise, service and professionalism gives us the reputation we are known for among our industry.

We are currently looking for a full-time general manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and staff are supported in their roles.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the shop’s daily operations, including production, scheduling, quality control, and customer service.
- Ensure that production meets the established objectives, specifications and standards for customers, and all applicable operating procedures and policies are adhered to.
- Manage and supervise shop personnel, including machinists, fabricators, welders, and general laborer's, to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that all necessary materials and supplies are on hand to support production schedules.
- Coordinate all necessary shop maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure a safe environment.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or Red Seal machinist certification or equivalent, is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a machining/manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a management/supervisory role.
- Minimum 3 years experience with AutoCAD programs.
- Strong leadership, management skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Experience with financial management and reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

**Salary**: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
