**Who you report to**:
The Demonstration Artist & Trainer will report to the Manager, Training Solutions - Sports and Graphics

**What the job is all about**:

- Responsible for the operational integrity of Ross Ottawa’s demo and training facility
- Works in close collaboration with both the Demo & Tradeshow Equipment (DTE) team and Technical Support team
- Acts as the key functional contact/go to person for the Ottawa based Demo and Training room
- Responsible for hosting the internal training across all products and Demo rooms setups, providing feedback and collaborating with Product Primes
- Is responsible for the operational and technical integrity of both the demo and training experience and offers effective solutions for areas of improvement in house and online
- In close collaboration with the DTE team, troubleshoots technical issues, assesses operational needs and assists with systems planning
- Establishes plans and processes to ensure 100% up time of Ross Ottawa’s demo and training facility
- Creates processes for all technical procedures (for example: log in instructions for online demos, keeping all technical documentation up to date)
- Provides feedback and regular updates to both the Manager, Product Primes & Demonstration Artists and Trainers to help drive the continuous improvement of Ross Ottawa’s demo and training facility
- Establishes a routine operational/technical maintenance schedule and creates checklists
- Prepares and tests equipment prior to all Ross Ottawa demonstration and training sessions
- Provides demonstrations and training from the Ross Ottawa facility
- Maintains an on-going report of operational/technical issues and provides status updates
- Maintains above average knowledge base and skill set in the functionality and demonstration of Ross Video’s product lines, which include: Production Switchers, Automated Production Control, Character Generation & Graphics, Robotic Cameras, Routing Systems, Video Severs, Master Control, Terminal Equipment, Social Media Management and Network Control & Monitoring.
- Performs other related duties and special projects as required

**Who you are**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma related to broadcast engineering or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a broadcast environment
- Extensive knowledge of and passionate about Ross Video’s products
- Familiarity with key components used in broadcast stations
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to provide solution within a technical framework
- Solid time / task management experience
- Strong interpersonal and observational skills
- Self-starter, quick learner and able to work under mínimal supervision
- Able to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Approachable, patient and calm demeanor
- Ability to work under pressure, troubleshoot and solve technical issues
- High initiative and well developed analytical skills
- Must be able to work well within a team, as well as independently

**Other**:

- Willingness to travel for work. This role may include travel up to 75% of the time
