R&B Locating Inc. is a Utility Mapping, SUE, and private locate company based out of Halton Hills, servicing all southern Ontario. Most frequently our locates are based out of the GTA geographical area. R&B focuses on quality, accuracy, and premier customer service in all aspects of our company to promote customer loyalty and superior technical results. We are looking for an experienced and hardworking individual to join our growing team.

**Position Available**:
Utility Locate/ SUE Field Technician ($25- $30/Hr)

**Responsibilities**:
**Most of our work is in the GTA geographical area**

Perform high quality utility private locates for mapping & damage prevention

Communicate with clients on site to develop the utility locating scope of work required.

Familiar with U2 Program

Survey and Map utility markings and draft results in AutoCAD

Prepare field drawings and locate reports for immediate use by clients.

Confined space entry into various sewer and utility chambers to perform depth and size measurements

Drive and maintain company vehicle

Travel to a wide variety of destinations within the GTA and surrounding area. Long distance trips will include accommodation and per-diems as needed.

Maintain locating equipment, tools, and supplies

Manage a flexible schedule including occasional night shifts

Work outdoors all year-round including winter

Supervise sub-contractors such as vac-excavation, surveyors, sewer flushing, etc.

Communicate and report to the Operations Manager

**Essential Experience Required**:
2+ Years’ Experience in the private utility locating field

ORCGA Certified

CAD Drafting / AutoCAD proficiency/ U2 Program

Proficient with pipe/cable locating equipment and a good understanding of the technology.

Excellent problem solving and observation skills

Strong written communication skills

Valid Driver’s License.

Self motivated

**Non-Essential (Complementary) Experience**:
Confined Space Entry Experience or Training

Surveying Experience or Training

First Aid, Working at Heights, WHMIS, and MOL Safety Training

Ability to self-learn new computer programs and new technologies
