Plastic Injection Operator

Job description

Working within a team based manufacturing and assembly environment, the Injection-Operator is responsible for the efficient, effective and safe operation of Injection molded parts, related tasks and responsibilities that contribute to the overall well being of the organization and its employees.

Entry level position with advancement opportunities available. Ability to work shifts, previous manufacturing experience preferred, grade 12 or equivalent an asset, ability to lift light to moderate parts. Full time benefits after completion of probation.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Inspecting plastic parts based on specified criteria
- Reading gauges such as verniers, digital gauges etc.
- Learning the Mattec computer system
- Basic operation of secondary equipment, cutters, checking fixtures
- Inputting information into data system (Mattec)
- Keeping machines on cycle, and determining part quality.
- Must wear proper PPE and follow all specified guidelines

**Salary**: $17.86 per hour
