Summer Student Brand Ambassador

We are looking for outgoing, high-energy students to become EarthFresh’s “Fast Fresh Gourmet” Ambassadors to promote our line of “Fast Fresh Gourmet” products this summer If you enjoy being a team player, being outdoors, and interacting with people, then this is the job for you
- Hours of Work (6-8 hour shifts):_
- Fridays and Mondays_
- 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Longo’s site (plus additional 1-2 hours before and after for travel/set-up)_
- Saturdays and Sundays_
- 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Longo’s site (plus additional 1-2 hours before and after for travel/set-up)_
- **Duration of contract: Week of June 19th through to Monday, August 28th**_

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**:

- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education (in progress)
- Hold a valid Ontario driver’s license (G) and clean driver’s abstract required
- Food Handlers certificate an asset

Experience & Skills:

- 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service/promotional marketing role
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task effective
- Proven ability to work independently with excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to travel/drive EarthFresh pick-up truck and airstream trailer (22 feet) to various store locations within the GTA as required (as far east as Oshawa, as far west as Ancaster and as far north as Gwillimbury)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Previous experience working in a culinary setting with knowledge of food safety principles would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of consumer food products and fresh produce is an asset

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Distribute cooked “Fast Fresh Gourmet” (FFG) product tasting samples from EarthFresh airstream trailer to general public while upholding a positive and professional attitude at all times.

2. Drive EarthFresh pick-up truck and airstream trailer to various store locations.

3. Demonstrate and provide information about FFG products to customers.

4. Confirm arrival to store manager/representative to coordinate schedule/activity for the day.

5. Report stock supply (product and supplies) to manager at the end of the day.

6. Pick up FFG product from EarthFresh locations (Burlington or Millgrove) at the start of the workday.

7. Submit applicable expenses (i.e. gas/supplies) to the accounting department as required, approved by manager.

8. Set-up and tear-down of EarthFresh airstream.

9. Display product and perform set up and clean up before and after each day.

10. Safely prepare, cook (microwave), distribute and store FFG products as directed. by EarthFresh Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and protocols.

11. Follow EarthFresh GMPs as they relate to this program and ensure a clean and tidy workspace at all times.

12. Ensure product samples are kept at required temperatures at all times.

13. Perform daily and hourly temperature record keeping of both product and cooler temperatures, making sure to accurately note the date, location and time including comments.

14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
