**Your role**

Join our dynamic team as the Marketing Specialist, National Events and be the organizer behind our strategic national event and conference initiatives Your role involves identifying, crafting, managing, and executing exciting event engagements that align with our brand and business objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement an annual national conference and event plan and an annual thought leadership event plan to support the company’s strategic and business development objectives.
- Help develop and maintain an annual national events budget.
- Monitor relevant national industry and sector-specific events to identify speaking opportunities. Work with internal teams to develop, submit and secure opportunities.
- Support the development of presentation materials.
- Coordinate and execute attendance and promotional strategies for national events, while ensuring quality, brand integrity and timeliness of those deliverables.
- Manage event logistics, including tradeshow banners, and promotional items for distribution.
- Build positive relationships with event organizations.
- Lead the execution of the company’s national thought leadership events, whether in-person or via webcasts. This includes developing compelling descriptions and invitations, helping secure guest speakers, promoting events via our internal and external corporate channels, and coordinating in-person logistics and all follow up post-event activity.
- Manage event-related leads in the company’s CRM.
- Organize post-event debriefs and manage debrief documents.
- Leverage available analytics to assess event success and adjust for future planning.
- Monitor and maintain relevant internal databases to support collaboration and information sharing across the company.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications or Event Planning
- 3 - 5 years of experience in event planning and delivery in professional services
- Ability to plan and prepare for events and deal with the urgent nature of event execution
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, adept at multitasking and meeting urgent deadlines while demonstrating the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and proactively solve problems
- Organized, detail-oriented, and laser-focused on goals, even amidst a whirlwind of competing priorities
- Work in-person and remotely, some travel within Canada required
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, event staff, conference organizers and vendors
- Bilingualism is an asset, but not required
- Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ClickDimension is an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
