**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare construction sites for daily work and clean up at end of day.
- Operate hand and power tools of all types
- Can perform all task framing, drywall, taping, painting, base & case, doors/windows, cabinetry, tile, hard surface flooring, plumbing (re-connects/ toilets) and electrical
- Assist with all aspects of construction projects in all phases
- Maintain a clean job site to eliminate possible safety hazards
- Always operates in a clean and safe manner
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working unsupervised with most hand tools and power tools
- Is comfortable working outdoors, in confined spaces, in hot / humid / cold / wet environments, at heights, and through inclement weather
- Unloading trucks and moving building materials and tools around the job site(s)
- Understands punctuality is an absolute must
- Performs related work as required

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Motivated to learn the skills for the trade
- Hands on experience working on construction sites is an asset
- OBC Knowledge an asset
- Ability to follow directions closely
- Familiarity of construction industry safety standards and procedures
- Detail Oriented
- Written and speaks English
- Work well in a team or alone
- Driver’s license
- Comfortable with travelling to different work sites
- Positive attitude
- High school diploma (or equivalent)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
