**CONTINUING CARE ASSISTANT**

**Status**: FT, PT and Casual Positions available

**Location**: New Glasgow, NS
**Employment Agreement**: CUPE Union position
**Compensation**:As per CUPE Contract

**Description**:The Continuing Care Assistant under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse, provides exceptional individualized quality resident focused care in a safe environment in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- The incumbent must exhibit sound judgment and initiative while working within the Mission, Vision and Strategic Directions of Glen Haven Manor.
- Enhance resident health through infection prevention and control within the established guidelines for health, safety, infection control.
- This position may require shift work.

**Qualifications**:

- Continuing Care Assistant Certificate/Glen Haven Care Assistant Certificate
- Experience with responsive behaviors (preferred)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training (preferred)
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current Favorable Criminal Record Check
