**Job Title**: Continuing Care Assistants
**Status and FTE**: Full Time, 80 hours bi-weekly
**Location**: 739 East River Road, New Glasgow
**Department**: Quality & Resident Care
**Hours of Work**: 12 Hour Shifts
**Employment Agreement**: Union position
**Compensation**: As per CUPE Collective Agreement

Glen Haven Manor a 200 bed long term care facility, is seeking qualified Continuing Care Assistants (CCA), to join our Nursing team in the delivery of quality care to residents.

**Core Competencies**:

- The Continuing Care Assistant requires excellent assessment skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients/residents, families, other health care providers and staff with a pleasant and cooperative attitude, demonstrating sensitivity, empathy and warmth.
- The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams within their assigned areas, as well the ability to adapt and understand patients/residents needs, assisting them in meeting their fullest physical and emotional potential.
- The ability to make critical decisions in a timely fashion is essential.
- The incumbent requires organizational skills and the ability to prioritize their own work.
