Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
Lifting materials up to and over 50lbs
Use equipment and machinery such as surface grinders, horizontal saw, manual lathes, drill presses, manual milling machines and computer numerical control (CNC) machines both lathe and mill.

Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
Maintain inspection records and complete inspection records
Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (eg. Micrometers, calipers)
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining tools
Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work piece

Maintain and follow all Safety Standards and Guidelines

Machining of large and small parts

Apprentice under senior employee to learn to perform set up and machining operations

Verify dimensions of machined features for accuracy and conformance to specifications using various measuring instruments

Responsible for maintaining product quality during machining cycle

General shop cleaning duties and routine equipment maintenance

Apprentice under senior employee to learn to program new, edit existing or research and implement new programs for CNC machine tools

Overhead crane used for some parts

Assist the Shift Supervisor on the floor as needed with any additional duties required by the Company

Experience an asset

Joint Health & Safety Training an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
