Fort St John, Canada Safety Boss Full time

The primary responsibilities of this position include coordinating, facilitating, and/or conducting repairs and maintenance on Oil and Gas Industry related emergency response equipment and vehicles as well as general shop duties.
Equipment includes but is not limited to MSA breathing apparatuses, air quality monitoring units, air trailers, and compressor operation. Vehicles include pickup trucks, mobile treatment centers, and fire trucks.
**Responsibilities**
- Communicate and coordinate with the station manager on all matters pertaining to station operations.
- Enforce Safety Boss Inc. policies/procedures and promote a strong safety culture with all of our employees.
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance of all equipment within your scope of overview.
- Documentation of maintenance and repair activities and updating of various databases is required.
- Communicate operational issues to the Station Manager.
- Remain up to date on all operational best practices, and local, provincial, and federal law regarding legal and regulatory requirements. Share Best Practice knowledge across stations to maintain consistency of work practices.
- Practice and promote the Health and Safety policies of SBI to ensure the development and progression of health and safety within the station.
- Ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal legislation including but not limited to the National Safety Code and the Certificate of Recognition requirements.
- Communicate with the Station Manager regarding equipment deployment to improve the level of customer satisfaction where necessary.
- Other duties as required or assigned by the Station Manager from time to time.
- **Qualifications and Requirements**
- Strong work ethics
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills
- Physical requirements of the position include the ability to lift moderate to heavy objects, standing, bending, and crouching for long periods of time.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Medical supplies/terminology background is an asset
- Experience pulling trailers is preferred.
- Driver’s License - class 5
- Ability to understand and communicate clearly in English (oral and written).
- Be able to effectively handle and respond to stressful/emergency situations.

**Schedule and Salary Expectations**:
Wage: Salaried position with benefits after 3 months
