**About the role**:
The Sales Team Leader's primary role is to lead, coach and develop a team of quota-bearing associates to drive revenue for Gartner. A Sales Team Leader typically manages a team of 2-3 direct reports.
**What you’ll do**:
- Achieve or overachieve financial targets
- Develop and execute strategy for achievement of business results tied to overall sales strategy
- Drive high activity by conducting team prospecting sessions with direct reports
- Ensure that each team member develops and maintains C-level relationships
- Establish and maintain executive relationships with clients to become the trusted advisor where necessary
- High-level account management with the focus of increased customer satisfaction and an increase in retention and account growth for your team members
- Provide leadership through effective communication of the Gartner global strategy
- Coach and develop direct reports on a regular basis
- Improve the team's success through effective leadership and mentorship
- Take ownership for own professional growth and support the team's professional growth
- As a Sales Team Leader, you will have your own territory and quota responsibility for the team
- Mastery and consistent execution of Gartner’s sales methodology, products, and services
- Align to the team strategy and goals set by the Sales Manager
- Execute 1:1’s, R&P’s and other individual developmental activities with direct reports
- Team Lead is NOT responsible for overall (non-direct reports) team meetings, setting larger team goals and communication to larger team
**What you’ll need**:
- Minimum 7-15 years of experience shown consultative sales experience in high technology (services, software or hardware)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and motivate sales associates
- Strong business acumen, forecasting skills, influencing skills and interpersonal skills (to share knowledge with a team to support the growth strategy within sales)
- Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen, handling others
