**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The Draftsperson/Estimator is responsible for providing the sales department with accurate estimates/drawings for railing installations and stair manufacturing. The estimator will also assist in maintaining high standards in the Estimation/Drafting department. Advanced user status of drawings assisted programs like Revit and SketchUp is ideal.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- _Certified in Microsoft Excel_
- Create inspirational 3-d drawing for customers
- Build, update and maintain a complete 3-D company parts catalog
- Prepare Estimates, tenders, and contracts
- Consult and communicate with the drafting team to ensure accurate estimates
- Prepare contracts for presentation to the customer.
- Effective communication with the team along with a flexible attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**:

- **MUST **be able to read & understand blueprints, sketches and diagrams.
- Must have extensive knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Strong math skills.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Post-secondary education or experience in the construction or related fields is an asset.
- Must be meticulous and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Must be a team player and willing to learn all aspects of the stair & railing processes.
- AutoCAD/ REVIT drafting is an asset.
- Architectural technologist would be an asset.
- Experience with industrial, commercial, and multi-unit residential projects.
- Mastery of building codes and standards.
- Construction site experience.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
