KL Engineering Inc. has an opening for a part time project manager to help manage up coming large scale industrial projects.

The industrial project encompass process, instrumentation/ controls, electrical, mechanical/piping, and civil/structural disciplines. Experience with managing multidiscipline team is required.

**Work Description**:
The general work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

- Setting up project for success by effective communication with client's team, external consultant team, and internal KL Engineering team.
- Making balanced and informed decisions to help achieve client's goals and objectives
- Lead and chair weekly project management meetings
- Liaise with design vendors, internal and external engineering to progress the design from the design basis write up to the detailed engineering stage
- Provide engineering support to the development of various engineering deliverables
- Conduct field investigation, operator interviews and collect necessary design inputs for various design professionals
- Manage quality control and risks during design work, including critical review of results in coordination with all project team
- Support daily execution activities
- Communicate execution progress as required to the various parties on the design team
- Produce the capital cost estimate by collaborating with a network of industrial contractors and vendor
- Support contractors to understand scope of work
- Work within a multi-discipline engineering and project team to ensure project is designed and executed in accordance to the agreed scope, schedule and budget
- Monitor schedule and manhour and track progress
- Identify and report project risks during engineering design and field execution
- Respond to RFIs originated from various engineering groups
- Review technical shop drawings
- Participate in technical bid evaluations

**Qualifications**:

- Located in Canada (Preference will be given to engineers living in Saskatchewan)
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering
- Current registration with APEGS as a Professional engineer or able to in the next two years
- A minimum of 3 years’ industrial projects experience
- Mining experience preferred
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills are essential
- General Mine Safety Awareness (GMSA) Certification preferred

Pay: $30.00-$75.00 per hour
