Food and Beverage Supervisor

**Summary**

The Food Service Supervisor reports directly to the Food Service Manager and the General Manager. This person is an integral part of the Food Services operations and supports all duties related to the daily management and operations of all Food Service locations. Supervisory experience is an asset. This position will support the training and managing all food service staff during the operational season. The Food Service Supervisor must implement both directive and supportive leadership styles to ensure the growth of their department. At the core of this position, the Food Services Supervisor must maintain the company core vision and values.

**Job Duties**
- Responsible for assisting with daily operations of multiple food outlets.
- Ensuring opening and closing procedures are completed daily.
- Assist Food Service Manager to manage the training, performance management and progressive discipline practices to improve the skillsets and productivity of employees.
- Assist Food Service Manager in food cost control.
- Assist in monitoring and adjusting scheduling and staffing levels.
- Guest Service quality assurance, maintaining and promoting the highest level of guest experience.
- Fully understand the POS System and methods of trouble shooting, reports and programs
- Assist Food Service Manager in tracking and reporting of sales, inventory, orders.
- Assist Food Service Manager to adequately prepare food inventory, orders, and stocking daily.
- Work in collaboration with management team regarding day-to-day operations and events
- Assist Food Service Manager to cater events, weddings, corporate picnics, birthdays, and concerts.
- Assist manager to receive and verify orders.
- Assist Food Service Manager to monitor the health and safety protocols of designated food service areas alongside coworkers to ensure clean and safe environments.
- Ensure compliance of company policies and other directives expressed by Safari Niagara
- Follow proper radio protocol to ensure effective communication.
- Accepts any added responsibilities that may be asked throughout employment with Safari Niagara to support other departments.

**Requirements**:

- One to three years Food and Beverage supervisory experience considered as asset.
- Ability to manage multiple food locations.
- Proficiency with IT and POS systems and advanced computer knowledge (MS Office)
- Cash handling experience
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- First Aid, CPR-C, Safe Food Handling, Smart Serve and Workplace Health and Safety certification are considered an asset.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, indoor/outdoor.
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs
- High pressure, fast-paced environment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (preferred)

Ability to Commute:
