Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice-President, Public Affairs and Marketing, the Executive Coordinator (EC) oversees the operational and financial functions of the department. As a central point of contact, the incumbent supports, and at times leads, the coordination of departmental priorities associated with activities related internal and external communications, marketing and sponsorship, web, publications, public affairs and partnerships. The incumbent manages the department’s budget, contracts and memorandum of understanding (MOU) and provides administration support to the VP which includes scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, routing inquiries, and drafting correspondence.
**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience providing financial, administrative and communications support at the executive level.
- Knowledge of office management procedures, policies and practices.
- Analytical skills to review budgets and interpret variance reports.
- Acute organizational skills to track activities and projects to meet budget and timelines.
- The ability to research suitable suppliers for goods and services.
- High level of professional demeanor and tact in representing the NGC.
- Knowledge of the mandate/priorities and general functioning of the Gallery.
- Knowledge of government structure related to Museum’s activities.
- Knowledge of the Conflict of Interest Act, including ethics compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of computer software systems (MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, scanner, printers, label printer, photocopier, etc.)
- Excellent proofreading skills.
