Our King City location is now hiring a Baker to join our Bakery Team

At Coppa’s we know that fresh pastries, breads, and desserts complete the perfect meal. That is why we offer such an amazing variety of unique and delicious baked goods, freshly prepared every day. We bake daily, using only the freshest ingredients, to offer you the choices you want and need. Our stores feature European style and artisan breads as well as traditional treats such as store made Cannoli, Tiramisu and fruit filled Flan and Cheesecakes.
- Prepare, bake and decorate breads, pastries, cakes and a variety of assorted desserts ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met
- Set up baked goods based on merchandising standards; ensure an accurate amount of goods are prepared based on store needs
- Provide exceptional customer service; taking orders, answering customer inquiries and up-selling goods at our Bakery counter
- Additional duties as required

**Job Requirements**
- Previous experience working in a bakery, baking and providing counter support in a grocery store environment is required
- Food Handler’s Certification is preferred. Post-secondary in a culinary skills program is an asset
- Health and safety orientated with a passion for cleanliness adhering to food, safety and sanitation standards
- Detail-orientated, creative and accurate
- Physically fit with strong manual dexterity; comfortable standing, bending, walking and lifting for long periods of time
- Open availability; must be flexible to work all shifts including days, evenings and weekends.

**Experience**:

- Baking: 1 year (preferred)
- Bakery Shop and Grocery Industry: 1 year (preferred)

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)
