Dining Attendant

Silvera for Seniors is looking for a **'Casual Dining Attendant'** which will be based at our Beaverdam Commons Community located at 2012-66th Ave. S.E., Calgary, Alberta. What is so exciting about this position is that one gets to know, support and have fun with the senior residents along with building internal relationships with your colleagues within our nine (9) Supportive Living Communities.
**Hours of work: Shift times vary and the applicants must be available for all times as shown below. Shifts are any day of the week (Monday to Sunday. inclusive). As a 'Casual' employee you would provide your availability for a minimum of 4 days per week and the work schedules will be given two (2) weeks in advance.**
**Shift Timings: 7:00am-3:30pm (weekend availability is necessary)**
**_Employees of Silvera for Seniors are hired by the organization to work in any one of our communities. Although this posting is to currently work at x location, employees may be moved to one of our other Silvera communities as part of their job.

This position reports to the Dining Services Supervisor and provides support services to the Dining Services team in the preparation and delivery of food.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Responsible to serve meals and beverages in a polite and professional manner, responsible for food preparation and clean up duties in the kitchen.
- Responsible for the daily/weekly cleaning, cleaning and setting up the dining room and staff room
- Completes documentation of required tasks
- Reports any unsafe work conditions to the Community Resident Manager or designate
- Responsible to assist with the receiving and stocking of all food, non-food supplies, and chemicals
**Desired skills**:
- Previous serving experience of at least one year
- Flexible, willing and positive attitude
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively work independently or within a team
- High safety and hygiene standards

**Additional Requirements for Casual Staff**:
- Must be willing to work multiple roles and provide coverage where required thus having a vehicle is an asset
