**Summary Description**

Under mínimal supervision, perform all customer service duties in the Dining Room to provide a positive and efficient dining experience. Assigned duties include servicing resident/guests, preparing tables and greeting all as they enter the dining area. Seating all and providing first beverage while ensuring compliance to mealtime seating directions. Cleaning tables while keeping a keen eye on the dining room set up and providing excellence in customer service are critical to this role. Collecting feedback and responding to requests while taking a daily census is a key responsibility of this position.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Greeting community members/guests and seating them according to the seating time chart. Ensure there is a clear pathway for the servers and community members to walk through the dining room.

2. Conduct frequent table checks after/during service to ensure community members are satisfied. Report all feedback to the Executive Chef for follow-up and documentation.

3. Advise the team when a new community member moves in, and ensure the team is always aware of any dietary needs or adjustments for new and current community members

4. Monitor community members’ overall well-being, interactions and capabilities to ensure they are enjoying their dining experience.

5. Report any unusual incidents and concerns to the Executive Chef, or the nurse in charge in the Executive Chef’s absence.

6. Follow all safety guidelines and utilize urgency protocols immediately (i.e. Call bells in urgent situations)

7. Ensure compliance with resident dress code protocol in the dining room. Report any inappropriate attire (hats, nightgowns, housecoats, etc.) to the Executive Chef and care staff.

8. Assist the Executive Chef in providing efficient operation, continually elevating the dining room experience to service excellence. Proactively assists servers whenever possible, and priority responsibilities are completed

9. Provide the first beverage upon seating when time allows.

10. Assists with table set up (silverware, condiments, and menu’s etc.) ensuring dining standards are upheld and all dining items are in place.

11. Complete the meal attendance sheet as required

12. Follows the shift routine guidelines for secondary side duties.

13. Clean and organize dining room and all related equipment; tables, carts, and serving areas. Clean and polish all silverware and refill all dispensers.

14. Remove dirty dishes from tables and scrape all dishware and cups in preparation for dish washing staff.

15. Assists in the Food Production area and/or the Dish Room, on an as-needed basis or when directed by the Executive Chef.

16. Assist during special events as directed by the Executive Chef.

17. Wear theme-based clothing to enrich the lives of Community Members during special events celebrating with specific themes.

18. Assist the Executive Chef in providing efficient operation, continually elevating the dining room experience to service excellence. Proactively assists servers wherever possible.

19. Ensure all daily audit checklists are completed and signed off.

20. Audit small wares inventory monthly.

21. Performs other duties as assigned

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.55 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 15 per week

Schedule:

- Every Weekend
