Context:
As Ridership Interface Manager, you will provide expert analysis and strategic insights on ridership modelling to various functions within the Project. This pivotal role ensures coherence across workstreams, integrating market assessment, ridership data, revenue forecasts, and operational considerations. You will coordinate modelling efforts to ensure alignment and effective data integration. You will be responsible for leading quality assurance for ridership and revenue models, gathering model development requirements, execution, and comprehensive data analysis. Furthermore, you will support the execution of ridership analyses, interpret data, and deliver clear, concise reports to key stakeholders.

You will lead the Ridership workstream from SYSTRA’s side and be project manager. You will be required to liaise daily with the transport model development team and work in close collaboration across the project Consortium to deliver high-quality and impactful results. This role demands significant interaction across various functional teams. You will be expected to establish and maintain strong working relationships to agree on the scope of work, define delivery timelines, and ensure seamless work processes through regular communication and collaboration.

Missions/Main Duties:

- **Market Analysis & Traffic Forecasting**:Assess supply and demand trends, identify key market drivers, evaluate competitive dynamics, and forecast future transport volumes across different sectors.
- ** Ridership Modelling and Analysis**:Develop, maintain, and enhance ridership models to forecast passenger demand and revenue generation for intercity and heavy rail projects. Support on the refinement of models based on real-world data and changing market conditions.
- ** Data Integration and Coordination**: Ensure seamless integration of data from various sources, including market assessments, operational data, revenue forecasts, ticketing data, and external datasets (e.g., demographic, economic), to create a comprehensive view of ridership trends and inform model development.
- ** Reporting and Communication**:Prepare and present clear, concise, and insightful reports on ridership trends, forecasts, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysis to key stakeholders, including project teams, management, and clients. Tailor communication to the specific needs of each audience.
- ** Cross-Functional Collaboration**:Work closely with project teams, operations personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure that ridership considerations are integrated into all aspects of project planning and execution.
- ** Business Development Support**:Provide ridership expertise and analysis to support business development efforts, including proposal development and client presentations.
- ** Quality Assurance**:Lead quality assurance efforts for ridership and revenue models, establishing QA/QC processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards, and implementing model validation techniques
- ** Policy & Program Evaluation**:Analyze and assess transport regulations and policies to ensure their effectiveness, economic sustainability, and alignment with strategic transport priorities.

Profile/Skills:

**Years of experience**: Between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in transportation economics, ridership modelling, or transport planning. Experience with large-scale rail projects is highly desirable.

**Technical competencies**:

- ** Market Research and Traffic Forecasting**:Demonstrated experience in market research and traffic forecasting within the transportation sector.
- ** Railway and Transport Planning & Economics**: Expertise in railway and transport planning and economics principles.
- ** Transport Modelling Tools**:Proven experience with transport modelling tools such as EMME, CUBE or other industry-standard software. A good level of understanding of transport modelling techniques, such as logit-based modelling, is essential.
- ** Data Visualization Tools**:Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for presenting complex data in an understandable format.
- ** Rail Transport Understanding**:Solid understanding of rail transport operations, infrastructure, and economics.
- ** Multimodal Transportation**:Experience in multimodal transportation planning and analysis is an asset.
- ** Communication Skills**:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
