Under the direction of the Supervisor/Lead Hand, the Production/Packager is responsible for all activities related to the manufacturing of Natural Health Products to finished product stage. This includes encapsulation (full training provided) of the two-piece hard shell capsule product as the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect to ensure the quality and quantity of product, bottling/packaging and labelling of natural health products.
- Competently operate encapsulation machinery individually as well as within a team environment
- Packaging/Labelling of Natural Health Products
- Read and follow the work order requirement prior to production
- Clean and set up encapsulation machine, accessories and rooms within the standard time frame, per SOP requirement
- Monitor the encapsulation machine operation and perform in-process capsule weight check, making adjustments as necessary
- Match all labels with the work order
- Full sanitation of machine and machine parts.
- Cleaning station prior to beginning each order and prior to starting and finishing shift
- Working with raw material powder. Must not have any allergies to powder or dust.
- This position also entails packaging/bottling of capsules when needed.
- Following good manufacturing practices.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrate ability to speak and read English fluently
- Mechanically inclined for machinery maintenance
- Prior experience of encapsulating is preferable but we can train as well.
- Follow direction and show respect for company policy
- Team player
- Demonstrate values for productivity and quality
- Safety conscious
- Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Knowledge of encapsulating and GMP an asset
