Home Hardware has a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team as an
**Accounts Receivable Assistant**. Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Receivable, you will work closely with our Dealers and internal departments to assist, respond, and resolve invoicing/payment inquiries.

**What you’ll do**:

- Balance daily reports within the Accounts Receivable system and Dealer banking transactions.
- Respond to Dealer and Staff inquires and requests for copies of invoices through the Planet Press Search system.
- Prepare cheques for Corporate Finance to deposit.
- Maintain the electronic filing system within the Accounts Receivable department to ensure organization and up-to-date files. Distribute regular mailing and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve errors with processing and make necessary adjustments relative to invoicing and payments.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets for tracking direct invoicing for accounts being monitored.
- Process opening order terms and credit remittance adjustments.
- Backup the AR Specialist when needed.

**What we’re looking for**:

- College Diploma in Business or Accounting with 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with telephone and professional interpersonal skills.
- Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Effective organizational skills and ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required.
