Legal Associate

TS Imagine, the world's leading provider of real-time trading, portfolio, and risk management solutions for the financial services industry, is looking for a Legal Associate to join our growing team. The Legal Associate is the primary point-person for all legal review of customer and vendor contracts, who forge strong relationships and help external clients and internal business owners.

The Legal Associate also focuses on providing business oriented legal advice and contract drafting/negotiation support to our sales team in our quick-paced operations and accelerating sales processes. We believe knowing and understanding the capabilities and benefits of our product is essential so a certain degree of tech-savviness is a must. As part of a high-growth company, you'll be instrumental in laying the foundation for our legal team.

**_What you'll do_**
- Advise product management and technology in regards to compliance with contractual obligations
- Provide clear and correct legal/contractual advice to the sales team
- Interpret business requirements into legal/contractual requirements and vice versa
- Draft, review and negotiate contractual conditions in sales contracts
- Contribute in sales meetings as legal expert, primarily on contract law aspects, electronic signature legislation, data protection, and specific US state data privacy regulation
- Develop and maintain standard contracts and contracting procedures
- Review vendor contracts and give advice to procurement
- Manage disputes, including liaising with external counsel
- In collaboration with other members of the team, create or revise templates in response to business needs and evolving standards.

**_You should have_**
- 2 to 7 years of experience
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and advising on Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements, software and data licensing, agreements, consulting agreements, etc., and general business acumen, preferably within the SaaS industry or related field
- Law degree or related university degree combined with relevant experience for New York and US based law
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a passion for legal drafting and writing
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify issues and to address a solution
- Positive and collaborative approach with an ability to build rapport, influence, engender respect and trust
- Attention to detail with a big picture lens
