Hello,
We are looking for a new team member to join us. We are Boy With A Knife, a full-service grill, deli, and catering company. Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment. We are fun, chill, normal humans looking for like-minded people.
We are a tight crew, so the proper fit is most important.
The skills and duties we are looking to cover are:
- Follows the instructions and recommendations from the Sous and Chef
- Coordinates daily tasks with the Sous Chef.
- Responsible for supervising junior chefs or commis.
- Able to estimate the daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Ensure that the production, preparation, and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
- Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies about food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.
- Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
- Consult daily with Sous Chef and Executive chef on the daily requirements, functions, and also about any last-minute events.
- Experience in catering, hotel or events preferred
- Respect for other team members and a positive attitude are a non-negotiable
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Typical hours will be 7 am - 3pm, Monday-Friday
- Tips paid weekly
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour depending on experience
- extra work hours available through off-site catering events (not mandatory)
