Reporting to the Department Manager, the Supervisor plans, organizes, supervises and manages the activities related to his/her duties.

The Supervisor is responsible for producing quality analyses in sufficient quantities to meet and exceed customer expectations, creating a work environment within the group that satisfies employees in terms of safety, training, recognition and empowerment, and continuously improving productivity.

The Supervisor works closely with other supervisors and the Manager to achieve the strategic goals of the company and makes recommendations to improve, over the long term, the effectiveness of operations and all associated processes and policies.
- Responsibilities related to operational activities and quality_
- Ensure all processes are conducted in accordance with the methods outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of results.
- Communicates reports and data that summarize the performance of the group to the Department Manager.
- Engage employees in the problem solving process to promote continuous improvement in operations.
- Participate in the assessment of equipment and tool needs to support operations.
- Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities_
- Ensures processing results meet customer deadlines and strives to exceed customer requirements.
- Participate in the evaluation of activities related to the Operations department, identify process gaps and make recommendations to the Director to improve process efficiency and better meet customer needs.
- Represent the company in a professional manner when communicating with customers.
- Responsibilities related to human resources management_
- Train and integrate new analysts to the standards governing the company's activities.
- Monitor performance and ensure that employees' work is evaluated periodically.
- Encourage teamwork and cooperation among employees.
- Empower employees and encourage their participation in the process of problem solving and improving efficiency.
- Safety and Accident Prevention Responsibilities_
- Ensure that employees are aware of company health and safety policies and take steps to prevent accidents
- Ensure, during coordination meetings, that safety remains a clearly understood and respected priority for all employees.

Hiring Requirements:

- **Bachelor's degree in microbiology**:

- **Minimum of three to five years of laboratory experience with a minimum of two years in laboratory work**:

- Strong time management skills, prioritization and ability to multi-task.
- Strong customer service, communication, presentation, coaching, analytical and training skills.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and personalities.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to provide detailed technical advice and solutions to customers.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Bilingual in French and English (asset);
