**CARPET CLEANING TECHNICIAN**

Full time, permanent

Final Touch Carpet and Upholstery Care Inc. is looking for a carpet cleaning technician to join our team. The right individual will be highly motivated, customer service oriented, able to handle physical labour and take pride in a job well done. **POSITION OVERVIEW**

**REQUIRED SKILL SET**
- Knowledge of carpet types
- Knowledge of cleaning fluids
- Effective communication skills
- Quality motivated
- Mechanically inclined
- Some knowledge of WHMIS and Material Safety Data
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to determine needed supplies and equipment as required
- Respectful of customer’s homes and businesses
- Willingness to attend training courses
- Ability to be on call or work overtime as required
- Ability to comprehend instructions both orally and written
- General knowledge of the city and surrounding areas
- Professional demeanor and appearance

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High School Diploma
- IICRC Certifications are preferred but not mandatory
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with driver’s abstract
- Criminal background check
- Experience with truck mounted and portable steam cleaning units
- Must be able to prioritize work load
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to deal with people in a sensitive, diplomatic and professional manner
- Ability to handle conflicts in a professional, calm manner customers and have the ability to sell additional products if required to provide a better experience and result for the customer.

**WORK CONDITIONS**
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Physical ability to bend, reach and stretch
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Overtime and on-call duties as required
