**Overview**

**Duties**
- Measure and cut carpet to fit specific areas according to blueprints or project specifications.
- Install carpet using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring a smooth and secure fit.
- install smoothedge and under pad
- carpet stairs and stringers
- Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Perform caulking tasks to seal edges and joints for a polished appearance.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations on materials and design options.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in flooring installation, particularly in carpet laying.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading to accurately interpret project plans.
- Familiarity with various flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Experience as a maintenance person or carpenter is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools required for flooring installation tasks.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
