What You’ll Be Doing
As a Program Director, Enterprise Programs, you will manage CIBC-wide strategic programs that will increase profitability, enhance client experience, and drive operational efficiency and productivity improvement. The enterprise-wide programs have high impact and high complexity over multiple years and span multiple lines of business representing a significant spend to the organization. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you’ll be focused on business outcomes, forging business partnerships, effectively managing risks & business value and leveraging relationships to promote connectivity throughout the Programs. The incumbent will contribute to monthly management and governance activities and uses significant latitude to control portfolio conduct status reviews, provide business guidance to partners across TI&I.

How You’ll Succeed
Program Management & Financial Expertise: Program manage and govern specific CIBC-wide strategic initiatives and projects to enable the enterprise to deliver on their mandate, goals and objectives.
- Leverage deep understanding of Program/Project management principles, approaches and change management in the delivery of projects.
- Work with Sponsors, Business & Technology leads to initiate program/project structure & workstreams by supporting the development of project plans, status reporting, interdependencies, governance, objectives, success criteria, benefits management approach, scope requirements, project financials, defining resource requirements, and other related program tasks.
- Specific focus on accountability for financial management, schedule management and management of change
Stakeholder Management: Previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and sponsor relationships across Business and Technology.
- Contact with and demonstrated ability to influence executives and management within CIBC.
- Collaborate and develop informed decisions & plans with program/project partners to ensure alignment of workstream deliverables.
- Build ongoing partnerships with key stakeholders across the Enterprise including Business, Technology, Legal & Risk teams.
- Able to take initiative on the preparation of clear, concise and compelling executive presentations
Matrix Management: Must have strong impact through influence skills and experience working in a matrix environment in a large program. Should be able to form strong relationships at all levels, and partner with other teams to get deliverables done.
- Develop compelling presentation materials to report Program status and support executive discussion and decision making.
- Calibrate work progress, status and participate in the negotiation and influence business partners to ensure alignment of initiatives and individual deliverables across dependent initiatives.
Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Provide thought leadership, seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving trends. Broad analytic, problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.
