Cold Lake, Canada Dragonfly Counselling & Support Centre Full time

Dragonfly Counselling and Support Centre is looking for a **Part-Time Bookkeeper** to join their team. All work at the Dragonfly Counselling & Support Centre (DCSC) will reflect the Mission Statement and philosophical beliefs of the organization. DCSC is a not-for-profit, charitable organization serving the Northeast Region of Alberta, that supports children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced sexual abuse or assault, and educates the public about sexual violence.

**This Part-Time position will be 3 days per week, based out of the Bonnyville office.**

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the following duties:

- Accounts payables, receivables and payroll
- Post journal entries, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
- Complete and submit tax remittance forms and other government forms
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts
- Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities
- Assist with preparation of statistical, financial and accounting reports as requested by Financial Controller
- Reception and other administrative duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Experience in accounting, Billing, Payroll is an asset
- High school Diploma
- Post secondary in accounting or related field is considered an asset
- General understanding of computerized accounting systems (Xero) an asset
- Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Google
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- High standard of confidentiality
- Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
- Assertive, comfortable communicating with various types of individuals
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
