**POSITION TITLE**:**Outreach Team Manager

**TYPE OF POSITION**:**40 hours per week (full-time)

**LOCATION**:**CONFIDENTIAL (downtown Montreal)

**SALARY**:**$70,000 - 75,000

**PROBATION**:**Three (3) month probation period, after which an evaluation will be conducted.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Under the authority of the Executive Director, the Outreach Team Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

- **Managing Outreach Team Staff**
- Provide direct support and supervision of the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreals’ outreach initiatives including, but not limited to, the Iskwe Project, the Cabot Square Project, and the Addictions program.
- Check in regularly with outreach staff to ensure that they are well supported and have necessary resources to fulfill their roles
- Conduct regular employee performance reviews in collaboration with the NWSM HR Manager
- Coordinate Outreach Team meetings to establish working lines of communication, and share resources amongst the team members
- Provide in person support during project activities
- Where necessary, provide one-on-one check ins to ensure project is on task and aligned with project goals and objectives
- Oversee and manage staff schedules, approve time off requests and timesheet submissions
- Cultivate a safe and supportive work environment for the Outreach team members
- **Clinical Support**
- Support staff in crisis interventions, where necessary
- Be available for consultation in crisis situations or emergencies or Outreach Team staff
- Provide regular case management support for outreach clients through biweekly case management meetings
- Develop and implement a system for case notes for outreach clientele
- Provide insight and guidance in casework and/or project management
- Ensure team has knowledge of available resources for clientele
- Research relevant trainings and education opportunities for Outreach Team staff
- Support staff in building necessary skills for their roles
- Provide debriefing opportunities for the team, either as a team or individually
- Ensure staff have self-care plan and help facilitate a work-life balance
- **Project Support & Management**
- Attend meetings and support Outreach team staff in partnerships and collaborations with other organizations or entities
- With the approval of the Executive Director, submit reports on time and as per funding requirements
- Referring staff to necessary supports to ensure mental health support is available and accessible
- Collaborate with Clinical Manager, HR Manager, and the Executive Director, to ensure continuity of practice and standard across all parts of the NWSM
- Other duties as required by the Executive Director

**Requirements**:

- Must have completed a Bachelor degree in social work or relevant field, OR have 7+ years experience in related field
- Experience in a management or supervisory role,
- Must demonstrate team work competence
- Have strong leadership skills
- Ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision
- Must be experienced with urban Indigenous populations
- Bilingualism in French and English.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset.
